Terms

The essentials in plain words. If in doubt, what we agreed in writing in the quote applies.

§ 1 Scope

These terms apply to commissions given to Leo Köppen (“I” below) for the design, programming and maintenance of websites. Deviating terms only apply if we agree on them in writing.

§ 2 Quote and contract

Prices on this site are guide prices. What’s binding is the fixed price I give you in writing after the briefing or call. The contract is concluded when you accept this quote by email.

§ 3 Process, cooperation, revisions

You provide content (texts, images, music, videos) in good time and confirm that you hold the rights to it. I carry out revision requests within the agreed scope. New requests that go beyond the quote are billed in tickets or as agreed.

§ 4 Approval and payment

For the Stage and World packages, the setup fee is only due after you approve the finished site. For the Experience package, 30% is due when the project starts and the rest on approval. If you don’t approve a site that has been completed in line with the contract within 30 days and don’t name specific defects, it is deemed approved. Invoices are payable within 14 days.

§ 5 Monthly fee

The monthly fee starts when the site goes live and covers hosting, domain, SSL, backups, updates, login, support and the number of tickets per month stated in the package. It can be cancelled monthly to the end of the month, with no minimum term. Included tickets not used in a month expire; purchased tickets never expire.

§ 6 Rights

On full payment you receive the right to use the site created for you, unlimited in time and place. The domain is registered in your name. If you cancel, you get the site as a download and the transfer code for the domain. Libraries, fonts and textures used keep their own (free) licences. I may show the site as a reference unless you object.

§ 7 Liability

I am liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence and for injury to life, body and health. In cases of slight negligence I am only liable for breach of essential contractual obligations, limited to the foreseeable damage typical for this type of contract. You are responsible for content you provide.

§ 8 Final provisions

German law applies. Should any provision be invalid, the rest remains valid.
